A VR journey that reminds us that we are one with Nature. Use your whole body on the way – prepare to stretch, crawl, rest, dance and feel.

BORN IN THE ANTHROPOCENE
The Shape of Us is an invitation to talk about our feelings surrounding the climate crisis. A story of loss, letting go and new beginnings. Its main game mechanics are body motion, interactive storytelling and conscious moments of intention setting and stillness.

CIVIC EDUCATION
Made in close collaboration with Heartwire, The Shape of Us is the core pillar in an educational project designed to open the emotional and political dialogue around the climate crisis. Designed to be used in workshops, classrooms and libraries, the VR experience is accompanied by a wide range of materials on climate psychology, heart education and virtual reality for mentors from youth and adult education.

THE WORKSHOP BY HEARTWIRE
A mindful Onboarding and Offboarding leading in and out of the VR journey can be downloaded for free on the website as well as a variety of educational content for teachers and workshop hosts in the fields of VR and climate psychology: www.theshapeofus.de/experience

Our intention is to nurture a healthy relationship between humans, non-humans and technology, to foster synergies between art, education, game design and embodied practices (such as Gestalt Therapy or Somatic Experiencing), and ultimately to inspire the players to (re)connect and listen to their inner wisdom.

THE SHAPE OF US was developed by the German Lab for Soulful Civic education HeartWire in collaboration with Monobanda and funded by Robert Bosch Foundation with the aim of providing hands-on data on VR and educational practices.
